Praim, market leader in thin client development, today announced the upcoming release 7.0 of ThinMan  management console, and the introduction of new Platinum Edition licence model.

ThinMan  is the centralized software console,  entirely developed by Praim, which allows you to centrally manage all Praim’s devices installed in your IT environment.

Using the ThinMan Graphic User Interface the user can easily display and manage all the thin clients organized by groups in a tree structure

In addition to the  “classics” management features  (which includes, for example, software upgrades and monitoring), ThinMan implements  automatic device profile configurations management based on server based policies. In addition, ThinMan integrates simplified management for virtual desktops and traditional PCs and workstations. The ability to manage multiple actions based on device groups membership or users policies allows a significant simplification and acceleration of all operations, with a significant lowering of the managing costs.

Version 7.0 enhances the functionality already present in previous releases and the new Platinum Edition license  integrates new features designed to better serve complex and / or distributed environments, where it is necessary the adoption of a unique and efficient endpoint central management tool.

ThinMan Platinum Edition implements, in addition to the ThinMan Local Console, two new different graphic multiple users consoles to access ThinMan server: the first is a Windows native client ThinMan Remote Console (already present in the Enterprise edition with limited features), and the second is a new ThinMan Web Console, that allows access through any browser with https protocol.
The new Web console offers simplified management compared to the native console, but it is the ideal tool to perform End User Remote Assistance. Access levels and features, of course, can be limited to groups of AD users as needed.

The new V7.0 and ThinMan Platinum Edition will be presented at SMAU Milan in October, while the official release  for resale is set starting November. 

The available license models are:

ThinMan Freeware - Free version, includes basic administration of devices.
ThinMan Enterprise – For sale version, includes a subset of advanced functionality.
ThinMan Platinum – For sale version, includes all the features presented in this press release.

All End Users of version 6.0 with ThinMan Enterprise Edition with a valid software assurance can get a free upgrade to version 7.0 with Platinum Edition by request to the dealer within the 31st December 2011.
