Advanced Remote Desktop uses the standard Microsoft RDP protocol and is therefore completely compatible with Windows 2000 and 2003 Terminal servers.
Advanced Remote Desktop adds the the following features not found in the standard Microsoft RDP
client:
SSH Connection
Allows clients to access terminal servers in crypted and compressed mode using the SSH protocol, thus providing an SSH “tunneled” remote connection without a VPN
client.
Maximized display
Displays the published applications in a local client window which uses the entire screen area while keeping the user’s local task bar visible.
Keep alive
Provides a “keep alive” function which, avoids disconnections of the remote session from Server.
Auto Reconnect, Disconnect timeout
Performs automatic reconnection of remote sessions when a network disconnection occurs. The time after which a reconnection can occur is user configurable.
