|
|
ThinMan is a software
tool that can be installed on any Windows’ PC, Server, or Terminal
Server. ThinMan allows the discovery and display of CompuMaster
networked devices. Devices are displayed in a tree like structure and
can be grouped according to IP address, location, etc.. |
 |
Firmware Upgrade
ThinMan integrates FTP and HTTP services which allows device firmware to
be upgraded remotely. Newer versions of device firmware can be applied
remotely directly through the ThinMan.
Multiple actions
ThinMan supports the scheduling of group device actions such as power on
and power off. It is possibile to perform a scheduled power on, power
off, or software upgrade of an entire group of devices. The embedded
scheduler runs as a service and allows you to execute planned actions
without requiring the ThinMan application to be running. |
|
Easy to use.
The graphical interface is easy and intuitive. Devices are displayed as unique icons within a tree view.
Search for devices within the network
Using either broadcast or specific IP ranges, ThinMan can discover all
network attached CompuMaster devices, either in LAN or WAN.
Group Management
Devices can be grouped according to IP address, location, etc. This
allows quick access to device status and configuration.
Integrated with CrossRun
ThinMan integrates with the CrossRun management console, and allows you
to manage networked devices and published applications using the same
tool.

Backup, Restore and Cloning for
XP Embedded Thin Client
ThinMan integrates a PXE / TFTP / DHCP proxy service and
supports Backup, Restore and image cloning operations via the LAN for
all CompuMaster XP Embedded Thin Client Series devices.
Using to this feature, the administrator can customize an XP Embedded
Thin Client and deploy its new custom image on other CompuMaster XP
Embedded Thin Clients. When necessary, it is possible to restore the
original XP Embedded Thin Client factory image.
SNMP support
Using either broadcast or specific IP ranges, ThinMan can also discover
and list any network devices supporting the SNMP protocol.
PC Remote management
ThinMan allows you to search and discover any PC that is running the
CompuMaster CrossRun client. Additionally it can monitor the PC status,
execute display shadowing for user remote assistance, or make an
inventory of devices.
|
|
Video Remote Shadowing
Allows “shadowing” of CompuMaster terminal devices. When shadowed, the
Network Manager takes complete control of the device’s mouse and
keyboard, in this way the administrator or member of the technical staff
can easily provide Remote User Assistance.
