With a simple and rapid implementation, the furniture company offered its store employees throughout Italy the opportunity to work with secure and effective tools, also thanks to tailor-made customizations, guaranteeing performance, high-level support and centralized management of the entire endpoint infrastructure.
Goals
Conforama Italia’s aim was to offer secure workstations, with low energy consumption and low environmental impact, with an excellent quality/price ratio as well as aesthetically pleasing. Furthermore, an additional need was to manage the installed fleet in a simple and centralized way.
Challenges
The location of the sales points throughout Italy required the administration of always active and, above all, efficient workstations. Furthermore, they had also to ensure optimal interaction between orders, quotations and company systems.
Solutions
To achieve these objectives, Conforama relied on Praim, equipping itself with almost 300 thin client devices of different models, with Praim’s Linux-based operating system, ThinOX, and the ThinMan remote management console. Furthermore, Praim has created ad hoc Custom Commands to ensure always quick and effective remote workstations’ configuration and reconfiguration.
Results
The advantages obtained are numerous and range from the possibility of working with secure and effective tools, as well as personalized and simple to use, to the guarantee of efficiency and continuity of service given by fully functional workstations, up to the effectiveness of monitoring and remote assistance offered to users.
