As the name suggests, Agile<\/strong><\/a> software was born and developed with the aim of making the configuration and management of company devices (particularly Windows-based ones) more accessible, flexible and fast, while offering a securer and fully automatable environment.<\/p>\n

Fully confirming this distinctive character, with just one click Agile allows to expand<\/span> the companies’ staff possible ways of working<\/span>, combining the typical benefits of a controlled workstation in a corporate VDI environment with the potential of a totally mobile workstation, also suitable for remote working.<\/span><\/p>\n

In fact, in Agile is possible to allow access to the network also through domestic and local Wi-Fi <\/span><\/strong>which <\/span>the user can select and configure independently (by entering the relevant credentials)… All only when enabled by the IT administrator.<\/span><\/p>\n

Agile makes devices managed, secure and administrable even on the move<\/h3>\n

Thanks to its integration with ThinMan<\/strong><\/a>, Agile transforms every Windows device, even mobile ones (such as laptops or small devices -Thin Clients with OS in IoT edition-), into managed devices.<\/span><\/span> In particular, it can be configured to operate in “Agile Mode” exclusively on company resources designed for the user, in order to provide a simplified and “armored” desktop, i.e. without access to unnecessary or “dangerous” system functions,<\/span><\/span> to prevent incorrect use.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The devices with Agile can be administered in a secure and automated way even if off-site, and without the need to create VPN, receiving from ThinMan their operating profile, references to corporate virtual resources, with the possibility of receiving assistance from administrators network even remotely. Agile, in fact, integrates the WSS (Web Socket Secure) protocol<\/strong><\/a> which guarantees the security of all interactions between Agile endpoints (wherever they are) and the ThinMan administration console.<\/p>\n

This protocol ensures that each exchange takes place through encrypted connections which, using company certificates, guarantee the protection of communications and the effective corporate membership of the devices involved.<\/p>\n

Ability to operate on both corporate and home networks<\/strong><\/h3>\n

From version 2.9.0 Agile allows to enable end users who operate in \u201cAgile Mode” to also be enabled to use their own home or local Wi-Fi networks. From the \u201cAgile\/Browser\/Desktop Mode\u201d menu the IT administrator will just need to select the appropriate menu voice “Enable the user to configure and choose local Wi-Fi networks<\/em>” from the “Agile Mode” section. Security will still be guaranteed by the WSS protocol.<\/p>\n

How to enable the end-user to configurate and access Local WiFi from the Agile configurator.<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

“A small step – just a click – for an IT administrator, a giant leap for the mobility of his colleagues”, who with this option acquire the ability to work and access company resources in full mobility<\/strong>, even remotely on endpoints used from home, or connected from external non-corporate offices, in co-working or, why not, from the Wi-Fi of an airport or hotel. All of this while offering corporate devices in “Agile mode” with a desktop blocked by accelerated access to resources and always controlled!<\/p>\n

For the end user, it will be very easy to adopt the best way to connect to the network and reach company resources, thanks to a Wi-Fi configurator with optimal usability.<\/strong> After enabling the IT administrator (which can also occur dynamically after updating the device profile), the user will find the Wi-Fi symbol in his Agile tools menu, from which he will have access to the list of available Wi-Fi.<\/p>\n

The user can access the Wi-Fi configurator easily and see the network in use directly from the Agile interface.<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

Here you can choose from any company networks<\/strong>, if reachable, already configured by the IT Administrator or from the other networks available from your location.<\/p>\n

With a click on the desired network, you can establish the connection<\/strong> (if the network is free from credentials or has already been configured previously) or access the window where you can enter the required credentials<\/strong> (the network password and, if necessary, also the username).<\/p>\n

The configured networks will remain available to the user even for future uses when when he\u2019ll be in the Wi-Fi coverage area. At any time, by accessing the Wi-Fi configurator from the menu, the user can change the network through which to connect<\/strong> (the network in use is visible in the lower left corner of the screen) and possibly remove an already defined network or modify\/update access credentials.<\/p>\n

Finally, the IT administrator will have the right to define the best sequence of actions<\/strong>, establishing for example that the connection takes place automatically on the first available network (even if local, but with priority to the predefined networks), or that in the absence of predefined networks the Wi-Fi configurator is immediately shown to the user to allow him to choose or define the network to use before even reaching the desktop.<\/p>\n

How to offer the end-user the choice of the Wi-Fi network after boot from the Agile configurator.<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n

This feature actually makes it very simple\u00a0for end users to connect to the network<\/strong> and reach company resources from anywhere, as well as making it immediate for the IT Manager to manage them<\/strong> and intervene in case remote assistance is required,\u00a0without giving up maintaining (through the “Agile Mode”) a secure user interface focused on business purposes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
