Belfast Health and Social Care Trust implements Praim solutions: “a big step towards greener and more efficient hospitals.”

The Trust needed solutions which could meet its requirements, and a single point of management to efficiently and effectively manage the endpoint estate.

As the largest Trust in the United Kingdom, Belfast Trust needed to count on a solid, reliable single point of management to be able to efficiently and effectively manage the estate providing automatic configurations, quick deployment and instant remote support.

Belfast Trust wanted to deploy 100% of thin clients to the satellite sites, as well as to reduce the power consumption and the operational costs and improve endpoint management.

Being created from the merging of six different Trusts, one of the main challenges Belfast Trust needed to face was the merging of the six server farms under a single Citrix VDI environment.

As a consequence, it needed then to efficiently manage 100 satellite sites and meet 20,000 plus users’ expectations and, to face also the problems of slow logons and secure passwords a busy complex healthcare environment raises.

The implementation of Praim products like: Atomino Quad Core Series Thin Clients, ThinOX operating system and the remote and centralised management through ThinMan management console.

Belfast Trust  started to immediately enjoy positive results: a high decreased in helpdesk workload, faster logon time, and simplified device configuration and updates thanks to ThinMan console. Furthermore, the implementation of Praim thin clients with Caradigm integration facilitated IT staff functions and made IT processes more efficient.
