New ThinOX Quad Core Series models, P9002e and Power Over Ethernet support
Praim extends its portfolio of Thin & Zero Clients with the new ThinOX Quad Core and P Series models and Power Over Ethernet support.
Three new models with Linux Embedded ThinOX operating system for the Quad Core Series solutions, a new design for P Series P9002 model and the POE power option
Trento, July 15th, 2015 – Praim, a global manufacturer of Thin & Zero Client solutions, announces the extension of its portfolio with the introduction of a number of innovations in its Thin & Zero Client range.
Praim announces three new models with Praim ThinOX operating system, to the family of products based on Intel Celeron Quad Core 2.0 Ghz processor. More into detail, the company released the A9054 model for Atomino Quad Core Series family, the U9054 for Ultra Quad Core Series and the D9054 for the all-in-one Duetto Quad Core Series thin clients. These solutions are based on Linux Embedded operating system and Intel Celeron J1900 platform, a Quad Core 2 GHz processor with System on Chip (SoC) technology and integrated Intel HD Graphics Gen7 GPU. The new models offers respectively 2 GB RAM, upgradable up to 4 GB, and a 8 GB flash disk. These Thin Clients provide high performance, low energy consumption and, especially for the Ultra models, different ports (also legacy ones) to interface with external devices.
Another new entry in Praim portfolio is a new form factor for the P9002 model: the Zero Client P Series P9002e, which offers an innovative design, among the most compact and lightest ones available on the market. In fact, thanks to this new design, its total dimensions reduce to 14×13 cm, with a 3 cm thickness and it could be installed on the back of the display, in order to minimize the amount of space occupied on the desktop. This Zero Client, dedicated to VMware Horizon environment, is based on the Teradici Tera2 chipset, able to take advantage of the PCoIP protocol hardware acceleration and provides high performance. P9002e model supports the new factory option with Power over Ethernet power supply, making deployment easier and faster.
The PoE option is now available also for the Ino SoC Series I9010 model, the Zero Client for Citrix environments, and is Citrix Ready HDX Premium certified. Thanks to this feature, this product can be powered directly through the available wired network, ensuring the highest performance and the lowest energy consumption. This solution has been recognized as one of the best Thin Client to access the XenDesktop, XenApp and VDI-in-a-box infrastructures. The Ino Soc Series family is ideal for multimedia or 3D applications and offers a great user experience, also optimizing the bandwidth use. In addition, this is the only ARM SoC Thin Client with native DVI Dual Monitor support available in the market, designed to create extremely performant and efficient dual monitor workstations with video resolution up to 1920×1080 full HD.
“These new models are a great enhancement of Praim portfolio: the ThinOX release for Quad Core family confirms our strong commitment in this technology, which stands out for its advanced features, simple to deploy and able to reduce TCO – comments Stefano Bonmassar, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of Praim –. If we want to maintain the leadership in this market, we cannot stop, but we have to keep on enhancing the Research & Development activity, to offer high level solutions, able to satisfy the needs of the most demanding users. In addition to the new version of the operating system, the other supports introduced today, including Power over Ethernet on the Citrix and VMware models, are a real differentiating factor”.
