Praim introduces ThinOX v10, the new Thin & Zero Client operating system
New kernel, updated connection clients, reduced boot time and renewed graphics are among the key features of this new powerful ThinOX.
Trento, November 4th, 2015 – Praim, a global manufacturer of Thin & Zero Client solutions, announces the new version of ThinOX firmware for its Thin & Zero Client solutions.
ThinOX is the Praim operating system based on Linux, specifically designed to provide users and administrators with a high quality Thin Client solution, ensuring safety, reliability and ease of management thanks to the ThinMan remote console. The newer version 10 will be available on the entire range of ThinOX models currently in production: Ino SoC Series, Compact Dual Core Series, Atomino and Ultra Dual Core Series, plus Atomino, Ultra and Duetto Quad Core Series.
This newer version has been deeply revised with an optimized boot process, that drastically reduces the starting time, a simplified configuration Wizard and an overall improvement in the user experience and software performance.
Thanks to the integration of the latest Citrix client (13.2), ThinOX 10 introduces the support for CitrixReceiver X1, providing direct access to the new StoreFront or to NetScaler via the new Self Service User Interface or Web mode, while still maintaining its legacy PNAgent access mode. It also extends the support for Unified Communications on Microsoft Skype for Business 2015, Microsoft Lync 2013, Office 365 Microsoft Lync 2013 and Microsoft Lync 2010, through the Citrix HDX™ RealTime Optimization Pack, available as a free add-on.
The access to VMware Horizon is improved thanks to the latest VMware client Horizon 3.5, essential to capitalize on the most recent developments of the PCoIP and Microsoft RDP protocols. ThinOX v10 provides a comprehensive support to access Virtual Desktops, RDS-Hosted Desktops, RDS-Hosted Apps and all the other options offered by VMware Horizon.
ThinOX v10 has also been enriched with the latest features from Microsoft Windows Server through the full support of RDP 8.1 and RemoteFX protocols. The performances on Microsoft RDS 2008R2 and 2012R2 have significantly improved, paying particular attention to the increasing requirements for demanding multimedia tasks. The new ThinOX includes the Remote Desktop Connection Broker, Remote Desktop Gateway, Remote Desktop Web Access, RemoteApp, Remote Desktop Session Host and Remote Desktop Virtualization Host support.
This latest release from the Praim engineering team allows to create flexible workstations suitable for every need. ThinOX v10 satisfies requirements for both local desktop uses as well as more secured kiosk modes for exclusive access to remote infrastructures and complete inalterability of the workplace.

Now available for Compact Dual Core Series, Atomino, Duetto ed Ultra Quad Core Series, the new ThinOX v10 will be released as free upgrade on all the active models, following the standard lifecycle policy for Praim products.
