Agile and Agile4PC

The new version 3.0.1 (*) of Praim Agile and Agile4PC has been released.

Starting from version 3.0.0, Agile has been renewed in its graphics and includes new relevant features for controlling the presentation modes. In particular, the new version includes the following improvements:

  • Agile Configurator – renewed graphical interface:
    • New logo, new colors and graphic design
    • New macro-functionalities sequential order (configurator sections)
    • Reorganization of the “Agile/Browser/Desktop Mode” section now “Presentation”: introduced a new interface for choosing and configuring user interaction modes and range of options extended
  • New configurator section for choosing Presentation modes:
    • Introduced the possibility of quickly switching the presentation mode
    • Introduced the instant and directly accessible preview of each mode
    • Introduced tabs for configuring the other customization options: Graphics, Information and User Options
    • Introduced new locked-down desktop Presentation modes (“Desktop” and “Quick-App”) and renaming of the pre-existing modes
  • New “Desktop” mode with desktop lockdown. This mode simulates a desktop area with icons while preserving the Explorer Taskbar (with limitations and blocks). It also includes:
    • Access to Agile options (User Settings, Info, Shutdown, …) via icons on the desktop or via a side menu in overlay
    • Customization of the desktop properties, including: icon layout and size, app. activation mode with double-click (mouse) or single click (touch), …
    • Management of VDI server resources by “exploding” icons into desktop sections
    • Support for Microsoft AVD resources through Explorer
    • Taskbar customization (ability of selectively reactivating Audio, Battery/Power and/or Network controllers)
    • Control/limitation on applications execution (white-list of allowed executables)
  • New “Quick-App” mode for the automated/simplified creation of application kiosks:
    • Quick configuration by choosing the single resource to be executed (in auto-start)
    • On-closure behavior choice
    • Application logo customization (in addition to company logo, already provided)
    • Auick application’s restart and fast switching with Agile controls (for touch screen interaction).

This version also includes the following additional improvements:

  • New graphic customization options (e.g. control over the Windows background, to uniform it with Agile)
  • Improvements to the Windows Update section (only for Agile4PC)
  • Improvements to the “Web” mode (prev. “Browser” mode)
  • Device’s time zone sent to ThinMan
  • Other minor enhancements and bug-fixes.

ThinOX and ThinOX4PC

The new ThinOX version 13.0.2 (°) 64-bit has been released as a single multi-model firmware.

Version 13 marks the transition of ThinOX and ThinOX4PC to the new kernel generation to support the latest hardware and the latest releases of the main VDI technologies clients and their optimization packs for video-conferencing.

ThinOX v. 13.0.2 includes the following new features:

  • ThinOX base system evolution
  • Switch to the new kernel, version 6.8.0-41, with support for new hardware
  • Citrix Workspace App client version 2405 integration (default), with support for the Microsoft Teams optimization
  • Citrix Workspace App “legacy” client version 19.12 integration
  • Omnissa (prev. VMware) Horizon client version 2406 integration (default), with support for for the Microsoft Teams optimization
  • Omnissa (prev. VMware) Horizon previous client version 2312.1 integration
  • FreeRDP version 3.5.1 integration and client update (default)
  • UDS client version 3.6.0 integration
  • Parallels client version 19.4.24965 integration
  • Chrome browser integration and update to version 127.0.6533.88

This release also includes the following additional features improvements:

  • Support via RDP (FreeRDP) to AVD resources with “Enter ID” authentication
  • Zoom – support for the VDI optimization plugin: “Zoom Universal Plugin” version 6.0.11
  • Graphical and boot phase improvements
  • Other minor ones

Windows 10 IoT (2019)

The new version 3.13.0 (*) of the Praim custom images of Windows 10 IoT 2019 LTSC has been released and which includes:

  • Agile updated to version 12.2;
  • Citrix Workspace App client updated to version 2405;
  • Omnissa (VMware) Horizon client updated to version 2406;
  • Parallels RAS (Remote Application Server) client integrated in version 19.4;
  • Azure Remote Desktop client for Windows Desktop updated to version 1.2.5623.0;
  • Microsoft Edge for Business browser updated to version 129.0.2792.52;
  • Microsoft Defender engine updated to version 24080;
  • Microsoft security updates until September 2024:
    • Sep 10, 2024 – KB5043050: Security Update for Windows 10
    • Aug 13, 2024 – KB5042350: Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10
  • Driver integration and support for new Intel Wi-Fi models (AX200, AX210).

The related update pack (Praim Update) has also been released for security updates and Microsoft Defender.
